Vinicius Jr.’s future is once again making headlines. The Brazilian’s contract situation has reached a standstill, raising some concern within Real Madrid. Negotiations for his renewal have been frozen for several months, and while relations between both parties remain cordial, significant differences are preventing an agreement from being reached.
Vinicius is currently under contract until 2027, which means Real Madrid must soon decide what to do with one of their most valuable assets.
According to Antón Meana on Cadena SER, the club’s position is clear: “For Real Madrid, renewing Vinicius’s contract is a priority.”
This statement reflects the club’s desire to secure the Brazilian’s long-term future before a major offer from another club arrives—or before he could potentially leave for free in 2027.
Additionally, Meana revealed that there’s a growing sentiment within the club regarding how Xabi Alonso has managed Vinicius this season: “At Real Madrid, they believe Xabi Alonso has not managed Vinicius’s season well and has been unfair to him.”
That perception stems from the number of times the forward has been substituted —an issue that continues to fuel debate within the club.
