José Mourinho made a surprise appearance at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin on Saturday to attend the DFB Pokal final between Bayern Munich and Stuttgart, which ended in a 3-0 victory for Bayern thanks to a Harry Kane hat-trick.
The Portuguese coach, who continues to be linked with the Real Madrid job, was spotted in the stands watching the match closely, immediately fueling speculation in Germany and Spain.
Several reports suggested Mourinho had traveled to monitor Bayern winger Michael Olise, one of the club’s standout performers this season and a player reportedly admired by Real Madrid ahead of next summer.
After the match, Bayern honorary president Uli Hoeness was asked about Mourinho’s presence and the rumors surrounding Olise.
"He can look at Olise all he wants, but it won't do any good. He's staying, he's not for sale, and Mourinho could have saved himself the trip from Madrid."
Despite the speculation, Mourinho’s visit reportedly had no connection to transfer business. According to sources close to the coach, he attended the final as a guest of Adidas as part of commercial and promotional commitments linked to the event.
The same sources stated that the trip had been organized days earlier and that no meetings or discussions with Bayern players took place.
