Vinicius Junior, who scored the winning goal in the Champions League final in May, is one of the main subjects of the cameras and the spotlight during Wednesday's European Super Cup at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki.

Real Madrid is in the title race against Eintracht Frankfurt thanks to his goal in Paris.

The Brazilian told UEFA, "It is very important to try to win as many games as you can, especially if you want to win in competitions as important as the Super Cup."

"We will do everything to win the first trophy of the season."

He said that such a winners' mentality is what feeds into Real Madrid's mentality.

"It's right in the DNA of this club and this shirt: to always go out for the important games, players who know how to face those days," he said.

"That was the key last season. Some games were emotional rollercoasters where everything seemed to go our way.

"The game against City at the Bernabeu [was his favourite moment]. In two minutes Rodrygo came on and scored two goals that took us to the final.

"The most important moment of the competition, I think, was that one."

Vinicius thinks that the Champions League, which is fundamental to Real Madrid's DNA, could serve as a base for future success.

He admitted, "It was a very important moment for us, for me, and for the entire team.

"We needed to win the title to cap off a fantastic season.

"I always say that I have about 15 years left in my career and I don't know when my next final will be. That's why I had to enjoy it to the maximum.

"Scoring the winning goal was a unique feeling. There is not much to say, to write about, to talk about what it feels like.

"Only people who have experienced it, who have experienced football as we did last season, know how important it is and how happy it makes you."

Vini also paid tribute to the coach, Carlo Ancelotti, who he believes was essential to their success.

"He knew how to get the best out of us. He is very kind and treats us like his children," he explained.

"He gives us peace of mind and confidence. And then there's his great work in preparing for the games".

However, the forward sees this as just the beginning and is hoping for more silverware.

He continued, "I admire the players who have accomplished so much at this club, the biggest in the world.

Of course, I hope to keep winning here and continue to play for a very long time in order to win as much as they have.

"To be as influential as some of the best players who have worn the Madrid jersey and win five or six Champions League titles."

Vinicius will be in Helsinki on Wednesday trying to win his next championship.
