Sweden now has a new football talent on which to stake all of their future hopes. Roony Bardghji, a 17-year-old player for the Danish team Copenhagen, is the name. His goals are lofty: to play for Real Madrid and become the best football player in the world.

In an interview with the Swedish media outlet Fotbollskanalen, Bardghji discusses his career goals. He left Swedish Malmö in 2020 while still only 14 years old, and at Copenhagen, he set a new record for the league's youngest debutant.

His primary position is on the right wing, but he can also play inside the attack. As he admits, Leo Messi is his idol, and in his country they have even compared him to the Argentine as he is also a short player (1.73 meters) who stands out for his agility, acceleration and creativity with the ball.

"My goal is to become the best player in the world. I have had that in mind since I was little and no one can stop me except myself," says Bardghji in his interview with the Swedish media. "The dream is, of course, to take the next step to the big leagues, clubs and tournaments. The club I want to end up with? I want to play for Real Madrid and stay for many years," he says.

Bardghji is sincere in his speech and does not identify as a die-hard supporter of Real Madrid: "I would like to go there. Actually, I am a fan of Messi rather than Real Madrid. But I want to join a team that will support me in achieving my objectives, and I believe Real Madrid is the best option ", he concedes.

Bardghji was born in Kuwait to a Syrian family, and moved to Sweden at a young age. He has debuted already for Sweden under-21 and looking forward to a call to the senior team soon.
