AC Milan are moving swiftly to reinforce their defense after Theo Hernandez’s departure to Al-Hilal, and have identified Real Madrid’s Fran García as a leading candidate to fill the left-back role.
As reported by Football Italia, the Rossoneri have initiated contact with Real Madrid to explore a possible deal, with formal negotiations expected to take place soon.
García, 25, was a regular fixture in the second half of last season, starting 16 of Madrid’s final 20 La Liga matches. However, competition in the left-back position has intensified with the arrival of Álvaro Carreras from Benfica and the continued presence of Ferland Mendy.
Given the circumstances, García is reportedly open to a move to San Siro in search of more consistent playing time. Although no deal has been finalized yet, Milan are eager to advance discussions in the coming days.
