Barely a week after the season ended, Real Madrid are already preparing the new project for next season. The first movement has been to communicate to Adam Hanga that they will not exercise the optional third year of his contract.

The 34-year-old Hungarian forward, one of the team's defensive pillars in the two seasons he has worn white, played a crucial role after the loss of Williams-Goss due to injury, by effectively stepping in as a point guard. However, by the end of the season, his performance suffered and he was less prominent because of his physical decline and the increased playing time of Williams-Goss and Sergio Rodriguez.

His averages in the Endesa League this past season were 5 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.1 recoveries, and a PIR of 4.5, which are comparable to his averages in the Euroleague of 4.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.6 recoveries, and 4.1 PIR. His performance was consistently better than what his numbers indicate, and over the course of his two years, he helped the team win two Super Cups (2021 and 22), one League (2022), and the most recent Euroleague (2023).
