The controversy continues. After Ancelotti declared at a press conference that Real Madrid would take a firm stance if asked to play another game with less than 72 hours of rest, LaLiga responded, and now AFE has weighed in on the issue.
The Spanish Footballers' Association emphasized the importance of players receiving 72 hours between matches, stressing that it is essential for their well-being. While LaLiga views this rest period as advisable but not mandatory, AFE insists that, for health reasons, it is non-negotiable.
In support of all First Division players, AFE expressed its concern over this matter. Meanwhile, Ancelotti took a stronger stance during his press briefing, stating that Real Madrid would refuse to take the field for any future matches scheduled with less than 72 hours of rest.
