David Alaba returned to the starting lineup during Real Madrid’s 1-0 win over Getafe, marking his seventh start in 14 appearances since recovering from a knee injury. However, the Austrian defender was forced off due to physical discomfort and was replaced by Eduardo Camavinga—who also picked up an injury and will miss the rest of the season.
Fortunately for Alaba and Real Madrid, the situation appears far less concerning. According to journalist Arancha Rodríguez of Cadena COPE, the injury is not serious, and the defender could be available for the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona.
"Alaba's situation isn't serious. If he doesn't feel discomfort tomorrow, he'll travel to Seville," Rodríguez shared on her personal 'X' account. This marks a more optimistic tone compared to manager Carlo Ancelotti’s press conference, during which he had all but ruled the Austrian out of the final.
