Valverde’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed by Carlo Ancelotti. According to Relevo, the Italian coach is considering making a bold decision regarding Valverde’s short-term future—keeping him in the right-back position, even after the return of Lucas Vázquez.

Currently, Lucas Vázquez is the only natural right-back available to Real Madrid, with Dani Carvajal sidelined due to a long-term injury. However, Vázquez has struggled to reach the form he displayed in previous seasons, in contrast to Valverde, who has become a key leader for the team, regardless of the position he plays.
