Fede Valverde has firmly established himself as a standout option at right-back for Real Madrid. Just as he did when playing as a right winger, the Uruguayan, known as "the falcon," has solidified his position at the back, helping to guide the team into the Champions League last 16 from that role.
Valverde’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed by Carlo Ancelotti. According to Relevo, the Italian coach is considering making a bold decision regarding Valverde’s short-term future—keeping him in the right-back position, even after the return of Lucas Vázquez.
Currently, Lucas Vázquez is the only natural right-back available to Real Madrid, with Dani Carvajal sidelined due to a long-term injury. However, Vázquez has struggled to reach the form he displayed in previous seasons, in contrast to Valverde, who has become a key leader for the team, regardless of the position he plays.
