Carlo Ancelotti was honored with the Panchina d'Oro Speciale award during a ceremony organized by the Italian Football Federation in Florence. The Real Madrid coach was recognized for his remarkable achievement of winning his fifth Champions League title, the club's 15th overall, as well as for his illustrious career.
The Panchina d'Oro is an award given annually to the best Italian coaches, with winners determined through a vote led by the technical department of the Italian Football Federation. Ancelotti previously claimed the award in the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons and was also granted a Panchina d'Oro Speciale in 2018 for his outstanding contributions to football.
