When a Twitter user responded by suggesting it was a tactical decision, Bonino replied, "Bro, Fede plays best as a pivot. What are you talking about? When are they going to understand that Fede is not a winger?"
After the game, Ancelotti was questioned in the press conference about the tweet and explained the reason behind Valverde’s substitution: "From what people think on social media... for me it's very complicated.
