Carlo Ancelotti appeared in the press room at La Cerámica stadium following Real Madrid's narrow victory over Marcelino's Villarreal, which has propelled Los Blancos to the top of the La Liga table, ahead of Atlético and Barcelona, who have two games in hand. The Italian coach sent a firm message to LaLiga regarding the match schedule:

"This is the last time we're going to play a game with less than 72 hours of rest. We're never going to play again under these conditions. We’ve asked the league twice to change the match time, but nothing happened. This is the last time," Ancelotti declared.

The statement aligns with Real Madrid's previous stance on Real Madrid TV: "Real Madrid will never again play a match without 72 hours of rest." The club expressed frustration over being forced to play Villarreal just 66 hours after their Champions League clash with Atlético Madrid and accused LaLiga of unfair scheduling. "We will not allow Tebas's abuse of LaLiga," Real Madrid's complaint emphasized, warning that the club would seek protection from FIFA if the situation recurs.
