Real Madrid is on the verge of welcoming a new member to their first-team staff, though not a player. The coaching team, led by Carlo Ancelotti, has requested an expansion, and the chosen candidate for assistant coach is Andy Mangan, according to The Athletic. Mangan is currently an assistant coach at Stockport County in England's third division and was proposed by Davide Ancelotti due to their close relationship.

Mangan is currently awaiting a work permit to join the club, but no specific date has been set for his arrival. His playing career saw him participate in over 300 matches across England's third, fourth, and fifth divisions. As a coach, he first joined Fleetwood's coaching staff in 2019, later following Joey Barton to Bristol Rovers in 2021, where he briefly served as caretaker manager at the end of 2023. He most recently held the position of assistant coach at Stockport.

This appointment comes from the coaching staff, particularly Davide Ancelotti, whose influence within the club is highly regarded. Mangan’s expertise lies in training forwards and enhancing attacking strategies. It is expected that he will integrate into the Real Madrid staff in the coming weeks.
