While Nico Paz’s repurchase is expected to be addressed in the near future, Real Madrid is also actively evaluating other midfield reinforcements ahead of the new season. According to José Félix Díaz of Marca, one name is currently standing out above the rest in Valdebebas: Angelo Stiller.
The Stuttgart midfielder is reportedly the leading candidate to take on the organizing role in Madrid’s midfield — a position that the club is aiming to strengthen following Toni Kroos’s retirement and Luka Modric's departure. In fact, it was Kroos himself who is said to have recommended Stiller to the club’s technical staff.
While no deal has yet been finalized, Stuttgart is seen as a selling club within the Bundesliga, and the expected transfer fee — estimated between €40 and €50 million — is considered affordable by Real Madrid standards. Stiller is also believed to have expressed his interest in joining Los Blancos, further smoothing the path for a possible agreement.
President Florentino Pérez has reportedly given the green light, and while Real Madrid also plans to monitor current squad performance during the Club World Cup, Stiller remains firmly on the radar. The coming weeks are expected to be crucial, as the club considers its next move.
