The Prosecutor's Office is investigating the real estate assets of four Spanish arbitrators, according to reports El Debate has just revealed. This information comes as a major shock. Clos Gómez, Hernández Hernández, Sánchez Martínez and Jaime Latre are the officials in question. The latter two are in charge of directing the Copa del Rey final match between Real Madrid and Osasuna.
As if that were not enough, Clos Gómez, the first person under investigation, is currently in charge of the VAR in Spain, which is absolutely terrible for Real Madrid supporters.
The digital medium provides information on the investigations of the assets of the four persons, being conducted by the Prosecutor's Office. Clos Gómez is being investigated for seven properties valued as a whole at more than one million euros for which he did not even need a bank loan. He only needed a loan for a house with parking and storage room in Villanueva del Pardillo (Madrid).
Hernández Hernández also appears in these reports for purchasing a 190-square-meter house with parking and storage room in Las Rozas (Madrid) between 2019 and 2021. His assets would be over a million euros.
As for those responsible for directing the Copa del Rey final, Santiago Jaime Latre stands out, who in 2020 acquired a total of seven real estate properties. Finally, Sánchez Martínez, the main referee for Saturday's game, is also one of those investigated for a 164-square-meter house in Murcia purchased in 2019 along with two parking spaces and a storage room as well as a third garage space purchased in 2022, without receiving a single mortgage loan.
