Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has revealed an ambitious collaboration with Apple to create what he calls an “infinite stadium” — a virtual experience designed to bring fans as close as possible to the Santiago Bernabéu from anywhere in the world.
“The issue of season tickets isn’t entirely straightforward because we have 34,000 non-season ticket holders,” Pérez explained during the latest Shareholders’ Meeting. “There are children of members who can’t get season tickets, and that made me think about making the stadium infinite. I’m considering doing it with Apple. It’s very easy — some people could watch matches from home using glasses that let them see even better than in the stadium itself, giving them their own virtual seat and season ticket.”
According to OK Diario, Apple will take a major step toward making this vision a reality during Real Madrid’s upcoming match against Juventus at the Santiago Bernabéu, where 100 cameras will be installed to test the system and enhance the immersive experience.
Fans looking to become “virtual season ticket holders” will need Apple’s new Vision Pro headset, priced at around €4,000. To achieve a truly lifelike match-day atmosphere, Apple also recommends using AirPods equipped with aerospace sound technology, capable of adjusting audio intensity based on head movements. These advanced earphones cost approximately €279.
If successful, this pioneering project could redefine the way football fans experience live matches — transforming the iconic Bernabéu into the world’s first truly “infinite” stadium.
