Real Madrid welcomed a special guest at their training session held at the Real Madrid City basketball arena. Arvydas Sabonis, a club legend and one of the most influential figures in European and world basketball, visited the team on the eve of their EuroLeague Round 24 matchup against Monaco, scheduled for Thursday at 8:45 p.m. CET.
At the end of the session, the iconic center greeted the players and coaching staff, received a team jersey, and posed for a group photo with the squad. Sabonis joined Real Madrid in 1992 after winning the bronze medal at the Barcelona Olympic Games. During his three seasons with the club, he became a fan favorite and played a key role in securing two ACB League titles, one Copa del Rey, and the club’s eighth European Cup, achieved against Olympiacos in a final in which he led all scorers with 23 points.
