Perhaps one of the qualities that most describes Cristiano Ronaldo as a football player is his competitiveness. In an interview with Martin Borgmeier, his former colleague Gareth Bale related a story about him that only serves to support this theory.
The Welshman recalled with a laugh the self-demand that Cristiano placed on: "He was a good teammate, but he had his moments. If we won 5-0 and he didn't score, he would go into the locker room and throw his boots like he's angry."
To explain the situation in more detail, Bale wanted to make a curious comparison with a sport with which he has always had a great affinity, golf: "It's like your team winning in the Ryder Cup, but you didn't get a point, so you are angry".
But, the former player also used the occasion to put the Portuguese star in a favorable manner by admitting that after winning the Ballon d'Or, he thanked the entire team.
