Real Madrid are keeping a close watch on Jeremie Frimpong, according to Sky Sports' Florian Plettenberg. The Dutch right-back is reportedly "one of the names" on the club's shortlist as they look to bolster their defensive options.
Bayer Leverkusen are aware of the Spanish giants' interest, with Frimpong's release clause set at approximately €40 million. However, any potential move would not take place until next summer.
The 23-year-old has been in fine form under Xabi Alonso this season, contributing one goal and four assists in just nine appearances. Last season, he had an impressive tally of 14 goals and 10 assists in 48 games.
