Bayern Munich are reportedly wary of a potential clash with Real Madrid, even before the Spanish side has officially secured qualification for the next round of the UEFA Champions League.
According to reports from Bayern-focused sources, club CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen is said to have raised concerns with UEFA about the possibility of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium roof being closed during matches.
The concern centers around the intense atmosphere inside the Bernabéu, especially under a closed roof, which is believed to amplify crowd noise and create a more hostile environment for visiting teams. These fears reportedly stem from past experiences, particularly a previous Champions League encounter where Bayern felt overwhelmed by the stadium atmosphere.
However, UEFA has reportedly rejected any such request, making it clear that the stadium roof is an internal operational matter for Real Madrid and not something the governing body will regulate.
As a result, the possibility of a fully enclosed Bernabéu remains very real, potentially adding extra psychological pressure on Bayern ahead of a possible showdown.
