Jude Bellingham addressed the media in the mixed zone after Real Madrid’s match to clarify the incident that led to his dismissal and left the team with 10 men. "It’s clear there was a mistake and a communication error," Bellingham began, aiming to avoid a possible four-game suspension.

"I don’t want to repeat exactly what I said, but it was more along the lines of ‘f*ck,’ and I want to make it clear that I had no intention of putting the team in a position where we’d be down to ten men. If you watch the video, it’s obvious that what’s described in the report doesn’t match what happened. I didn’t insult anyone; it’s very clear in the footage. I wasn’t even speaking directly to the referee—I was talking to myself. It was a misunderstanding, a clear mistake by the official," the English midfielder explained.

Munuera Montero’s official report of the Osasuna-Real Madrid match stated, "In the 40th minute, Bellingham was sent off for addressing me from a few meters away with the words ‘F*ck you.’" However, this account contradicts Bellingham’s version, which suggests a mix-up in communication.
