After missing several opportunities, Joselu scored the last goal in Real Madrid's 4-2 victory over Napoli on Wednesday, thanks to a superb assist from Jude Bellingham.
Joselu apologized and wasn't keen on celebrating too much, while Bellingham pushed him towards the fans, urging him to take the acclaim of the Santiago Bernabeu. Finally, Joselu agreed to celebrate closer to the fans, almost in Bellingham-esque style.
The Englishman gave the following explanation for his actions: "It's about pushing your teammate, your friend over the line."
"We know what he can do when the ball is delivered in the right area. Tonight, he put a few wide, but that's the life of a striker.
"It was important for me to look for him more than anything. Especially in that area of the pitch. I'm so happy for him,” he added.
