Before Real Madrid's Spanish Super Cup semifinal against Mallorca, Pablo Maffeo confidently stated that he would knock Vinicius Jr. out in 10 seconds if they were in a boxing ring. However, when they met on the pitch, Maffeo's tough words didn’t quite align with his actions.
Throughout the match, whenever Vinicius came into contact with Maffeo, the Mallorca defender frequently ended up on the ground, exaggerating his falls and rolling around in dramatic fashion.
Vinicius' Real Madrid teammates were quick to notice and weren’t impressed with Maffeo’s theatrics. Jude Bellingham, in particular, took the opportunity to address Maffeo’s pre-match boast after the game, delivering a pointed message:
"10 seconds? 10 seconds boxing, eh?"
