Jude Bellingham will be sidelined for approximately a month after sustaining an injury during training. Medical tests have confirmed that the midfielder has an "injury to the thin plantar muscle of his right leg."
Bellingham expressed his eagerness to return to action on social media: "There's nothing I hate more than missing games, but I'm trying to see the positive side—maybe my body is telling me it needs a bit more rest after a busy year. I'm very frustrated, but I'll be supporting the lads like a fan until I can rejoin them in my best form. Thank you for your messages of concern and support. Lots of love and Hala Madrid!"
The Englishman will be unavailable for England's Nations League matches in the September window and will miss Real Madrid's LaLiga fixtures against Real Valladolid, Real Betis, Real Sociedad, and Espanyol.
