If he can fully recover from his injury soon, Karim Benzema could make an incredible comeback to the France team for the World Cup in Qatar, according to RMC Sport.
The Frenchman seems to have recovered quicker than expected and might be called into action by Les Bleues for the competition.
Benzema is reportedly set to rejoin Real Madrid training when they restart their training later this week. But if they understand that he is fit, France will call the striker back to Qatar to help the national team.
Benzema is still registered as part of the World Cup squad and will actually get a winner's medal if his side can win the cup even if he doesn’t play any minute. The choice to bring back the Ballon d'Or winner or not will ultimately be made by France manager Didier Deschamps.
