Karim Benzema, Luka Modric and Vinicius Jr. are among the candidates to win The Best FIFA Player of the Year Trophy 2022. The winner will be announced at The Best Awards gala in Paris on Monday 27th February 2023.

The award recognizes achievements made between 8th August 2021 and 18th December 2022. In that period, the three madridistas were crucial in winning the Champions League, the European Super Cup, La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup.

The winner will be selected by the coaches and captains of the national teams, specialized journalists who represent each national team, and fans around the world via FIFA+ during the voting period, which runs from January 12 to February 3.

The other candidates are: Julian Alvarez, Bellingham, De Bruyne, Haaland, Achraf Hakimi, Lewandowski, Sadio Mané, Mbappé, Messi, Neymar and Salah.
