Real Madrid continue to monitor the goalkeeper market and have added another name to their list of potential future targets: Bart Verbruggen. The Dutch goalkeeper, who currently plays for Brighton, is reportedly being closely followed by the club.
Although a move is not expected in the immediate future, Real Madrid are assessing different options as they plan ahead for one of the most important positions in their sporting project.
According to Ben Feerr, the club are monitoring the 24-year-old Dutch international, whose performances in English football have attracted interest from several top European sides. Verbruggen has established himself at Brighton and fits the profile of a goalkeeper with experience at the highest level.
Thibaut Courtois's situation is central to Real Madrid's planning. The Belgian remains a key figure between the posts and an important player for José Mourinho, but the club are also looking beyond the present. The sporting management do not want to wait until the last minute to identify potential successors and are therefore exploring the options available on the market.
