Despite starting every game as a substitute, Eduardo Camavinga has been a key player in Real Madrid's Champions League success this season.
The Frenchman, who just finished his first season with Real Madrid, spoke after the club's historic victory over Liverpool and reflected on the season both personally and collectively.
"It's been an incredible season, an extraordinary accomplishment, very positive," he said after the 1-0 win against Liverpool.
"I've learned a lot in this first year from the players here, from my cards too, so I think I'm a better player than I was a year ago.
"The first thing to remember is this victory, the work of the team an,d after that, whether I've played more or less is important."
Camavinga admitted that facing the Reds was difficult, but he believes his team deserved to win.
"It's true that the game was very close and we struggled, but I think we deserved it," he said.
The youngster stated his preferred playing position, but was not about to argue with Carlo Ancelotti about it.
"I prefer to play as a [No.] 6, in front of the defence, but I [also] like to play as a [No.] 8, and wherever the coach puts me I'll give my best."
