Real Madrid are feeling the absence of Eduardo Camavinga, who has yet to make his season debut due to a knee sprain sustained during training ahead of the UEFA Super Cup. Initially, the French midfielder was expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks, and recent reports suggest he is on track for recovery.

According to journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon on his 'X' account, Camavinga is expected to resume group training on Monday, the 23rd, barring any setbacks.

If this timeline holds, Camavinga could return for the derby against Atlético de Madrid at the Civitas Metropolitano on Sunday, the 29th. However, he is not expected to be available for the match against Deportivo Alavés at the Santiago Bernabéu on Tuesday, the 24th, as he would have only just returned to group training.

So far, Camavinga has missed the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta and five La Liga matches (against Mallorca, Valladolid, Las Palmas, Betis, and Real Sociedad). He will also be absent for the Champions League opener against Stuttgart, as well as domestic fixtures against Espanyol and Alavés.
