Facundo Campazzo remains without a team in the NBA, and Real Madrid are expected to make a move for him.
The NBA, however, is a top priority for the Argentinian guard. Campazzo is currently an unrestricted free agent after the Denver Nuggets decided not to renew his contract for the upcoming campaign, but he will make an effort to stay there.
In an interview with the Argentine newspaper La Nacion, Campazzo confirmed, "I want to stay in the NBA. I think I have shown that I can compete when I am at my best, when they give me confidence, and when I feel like part of the rotation".
The Argentinian guard believes he's an NBA-level player, and while he's not saying no to Real Madrid, his priority is clear.
"I feel like an NBA player and I want to stay at that level. It keeps you alerted because anything can happen," explained Campazzo. "I'm not saying no to Real Madrid. What I'm saying is the focus is on the NBA. It's my first choice," the 31-year-old added.
