Carlo Ancelotti marked a significant milestone by reaching 200 La Liga matches as Real Madrid's manager during the victory against Celta de Vigo at Balaídos. After the win, the Italian coach now holds an impressive record of 143 wins, 33 draws, and 24 defeats in Spain's top flight, having won the league twice, in the 2021-22 and 2023-24 seasons.

In his six seasons with Real Madrid, Ancelotti has become the club's second-most successful manager in La Liga in terms of games managed and victories, trailing only the legendary Miguel Muñoz. Ancelotti also holds the record for the longest unbeaten streak in the league’s history, with 42 consecutive games without a loss.

Reflecting on the achievement, Ancelotti spoke to Realmadrid TV: "I am very happy. In how many of these 200 games have we not suffered? We have suffered in all of them. In many, we have been successful, and in a few, we have been sad. Today I am happy, not only for reaching 200, but because we have won after the break. It is always difficult to play this type of game, especially away from home. We started well after the last break against Real Sociedad, and we started well tonight, winning on a difficult pitch."
