Olga Carmona, Athenea del Castillo, and Linda Caicedo have been named among the 26 candidates for the 2024 FIFPRO Women's World11. These three Real Madrid players will compete for a place in this prestigious team, which will be selected by professional footballers worldwide and announced on Monday, December 9, via FIFPRO's digital platforms.
The selection is based on the players' performances between August 21, 2023, and August 10, 2024, with eligibility requiring at least 20 official matches during that time. This recognition highlights the outstanding contributions of Carmona, Del Castillo, and Caicedo throughout the season.
The 26 candidates:
Goalkeepers: Mackenzie Arnold, Mary Earps and Christiane Endler.
Defenders: Selma Bacha, Ona Batlle, Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, Olga Carmona, Jess Carter, Naomi Girma and Alex Greenwood.
Midfielders: Aitana Bonmatí, Debinha, Ingrid Engen, Lindsey Horan, Alexia Putellas, Ella Toone and Keira Walsh.
Forwards: Athenea, Barbra Banda, Linda C., Tabitha Chawinga, Lauren James, Marta, Salma Paralluelo and Alessia Russo.
