Iker Casillas has publicly shared his opinion regarding the possibility of José Mourinho returning to Real Madrid.
The former goalkeeper used his social media account to make it clear that he does not support the Portuguese coach’s potential comeback to the Santiago Bernabéu bench.
“I don’t want him at Real Madrid,” Casillas stated bluntly while tagging the club in his post. He added that, in his view, “other coaches would be better suited to manage the club of my life.”
Despite his clear stance, Casillas also acknowledged Mourinho’s qualities as a coach and stressed that his comments were not driven by personal issues.
“I think he’s a great professional,” the former captain admitted before clarifying: “I have no problem with Mourinho. It’s simply my personal opinion. Nothing more.”
Mourinho’s future has become one of the biggest talking points surrounding Real Madrid in recent weeks, with growing reports suggesting the Portuguese manager could return to the club once the season ends.
