Dani Ceballos appears to have reached the end of his time at Real Madrid. Although he continues to train with the squad, the midfielder has been excluded from matchday selections and is not expected to feature again this season.

The situation began after he was left out of the squad for the match against Real Betis, and there now seems to be no way back. Unless there is an unexpected change, the next step will be his departure from the club.

The turning point came following a conversation with Álvaro Arbeloa. After meeting the coach at Valdebebas, Ceballos informed his teammates that he had personally requested to be left out of future squads. He suggested there were underlying personal issues and expressed his belief that he would not be called up again.

The midfielder explained that his decision was made out of respect for the team, aiming to avoid any negative impact on the group. While the news came as a surprise, the turbulent nature of the season has made such developments less shocking within the dressing room.
