Dani Ceballos is pushing for a return to Real Betis before the start of the 2025-26 La Liga season.
According to journalist Andrés Martínez, the Spanish midfielder has personally asked Real Madrid to open talks with his former club to facilitate the move. Ceballos is reportedly willing to lower his salary demands to help make the deal happen.
The 28-year-old feels he is not a central part of Xabi Alonso’s plans for the upcoming campaign and is increasingly dissatisfied with his role in the squad.
Last season, Ceballos made 45 appearances for Madrid but contributed only two assists.
