One of the most frequently mentioned names linked to a future move to Real Madrid is Rodrigo Hernández. The Manchester City midfielder, widely considered one of the best in the world in his position, remains firmly on Florentino Pérez's radar. However, the lingering question is whether a move could materialize in 2025 or be postponed, especially as uncertainty still surrounds his full recovery from a recent knee injury.

Despite the speculation, Rodri remains a key figure in the transfer rumors surrounding the Spanish giants.

Spanish journalist Pacojó addressed the situation during an appearance on Cadena SER, stating: "I still haven’t ruled out Rodri. In fact, it’s starting to leak that Manchester City are preparing a massive renewal offer to extend his contract until 2029, because they’re afraid something major could happen at the end of the transfer window involving Real Madrid."

He added: "If City are indeed preparing that kind of offer, it’s a clear sign they know Real Madrid are serious about Rodri, as we’ve been reporting for months now."

The Spanish international would undoubtedly fit perfectly into Xabi Alonso’s tactical plans at Madrid, possibly completing the midfield puzzle. For now, however, no formal steps have been taken, and both clubs appear to be playing a waiting game.
