Thibaut Courtois was Real Madrid's best player at the Etihad... despite playing with a slight tear in his triceps sustained against Getafe. The Belgian goalkeeper gave everything he could to help his colleagues at the Etihad and endured pain throughout the 90 minutes. Nobody in City noticed anything, but the fear was evident in Madrid.
Now that Real Madrid have been eliminated from the Champions League and have no options in La Liga, Courtois will take a break to recover from his injury. He will not play against Valencia, and his evolution will determine his comeback date.
