Cristiano Ronaldo has become the great protagonist of the last few days after agreeing with Manchester United to terminate his contract. Hours before this news was confirmed, the Portuguese star shared on his social networks his enthusiasm for having signed a collaboration agreement with one of the most prominent high-end watch brands in the world such as 'JACOB & CO'.
"I am excited to announce my partnership with 'JACOB & CO', one of the world's leading watch companies," he wrote accompanied by photographs of what the models in this new release look like. The copies of this collection stand out for the drawings found inside where they illustrate some outstanding moments of the player, who is currently without a team.
One of Cristiano's most significant goals as a Real Madrid player came against Manchester United in the round of 16 of the Champions League, which corresponds to the 2012–2013 season. The opulent company has chosen this sequence for one of its finishes. Since that match meant the English team's final appearance in that competition, it did not exactly sit well with red devils supporters. On the other hand, given the significance of this goal for Real Madrid, it might be a nod to them.
Because of this collection's exclusivity, cost of the watches is not affordable for everyone. The "Flight Of CR7 Baguette" watch, which features a picture of Cristiano's goal against MU, costs more than 142,000 euros because of its opulent finishes, which include the case's 26 baguette-cut white diamonds and 18-karat rose gold. This copy is also available in a less expensive version for 55,000 euros.
