According to reports, the referee will not be appointed to officiate any matches in the coming weeks after the CTA assessed his performance in the derby. The decision has once again brought the refereeing of the game into focus following several controversial decisions.

One of the main incidents involved Ortiz Arias’ decision not to send off Kang-In Lee for his challenge on Federico Valverde. Other decisions have also been analyzed by Real Madrid supporters, who believe the team could have received different treatment during the match.
