Dani Ceballos shared a message on his social media accounts apologizing for his role in Real Madrid’s late defeat against Osasuna.

The midfielder lost possession in his own half in the closing stages, an error that Osasuna quickly capitalized on and which ultimately led to Raúl García scoring the decisive goal.

A few hours after the final whistle, Ceballos publicly accepted responsibility. “I take responsibility,” he wrote, adding an apology emoji and a photo from the match.

The painful last-minute defeat at El Sadar leaves the league lead in the hands of Barcelona, who are set to face Levante on Sunday.
