Kevin De Bruyne firmly believes that Erling Haaland and Vinicius Jr will win the Ballon d'Or before Kylian Mbappe does.

De Bruyne was asked by Sky Sports to choose his three candidates for the award, The Belgian star put his teammate Haaland in the first place, then Vinicius Jr, and in the third place he put Mbappe.

He gave the following justification for his decision: "Because I do not know what is happening with him [Mbappe] this year.

"I think it's more difficult for Mbappe to win the Ballon d'Or at PSG. There are rumours he may go to Real Madrid, then maybe I would put him first or something."

"Erling because he's got a real chance to win it this year," De Bruyne adds.
