On Monday, September 30, the Real Madrid Foundation proudly accepted a special donation from renowned Spanish artist Domingo Zapata. His artwork, titled Mona Lisa Real Madrid, depicts the iconic Gioconda holding the 15th European Cup won by the club. The painting, which measures 100x80 cm and is crafted in acrylic on canvas, reflects Zapata’s deep passion for both his art and his lifelong support of Real Madrid.

During the presentation, Emilio Butragueño, Director of Institutional Relations at Real Madrid, expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, “It is an honor to receive this work from such a distinguished artist, both internationally and as a proud Spaniard. We will cherish this painting.” Zapata explained that the inspiration struck him spontaneously while watching the Champions League final in his New York studio.

This donation further strengthens the connection between Zapata and the club that has inspired him for years. The Real Madrid Foundation will preserve the artwork, which beautifully blends artistic expression with Real Madrid’s historic triumphs.
