This summer, Real Madrid secured Dzanan Musa's services for an additional year, putting an end to speculation about his possible return to the NBA.

Musa has confirmed that negotiations for a contract extension with Real Madrid are ongoing, though he hasn't entirely ruled out the possibility of returning to the NBA. "I had a 2+1 contract. The third season was up to the club, and they decided I would stay. We’re discussing a renewal now, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have other plans. Of course, returning to the NBA is an option, but it’s not something I want to talk about right now. I’m very happy at Real Madrid and hope they make me a good offer so I can stay for many years,” he explained.

Musa also addressed the likelihood of taking on a bigger role at Real Madrid following the departures of Rudy Fernandez and Sergio Rodriguez.

"I think there's already enough pressure on me, but I'll give it my best because very important players have left, both on the court and in the locker room. I've learned a lot from them, and I'll try to step up both on and off the court. I’ve finally got the number 13 jersey, and we joked last season that 31 was good for me. I grew up with that number, and I hope that 13 will be just as successful for me as 31 was," Musa added.
