Since joining Real Madrid this summer, Dzanan Musa has already won his first trophy in the Spanish capital, by defeating Barcelona in the Spanish Supercup final.

Transferring to Madrid, according to Musa, seemed risky to him. After playing for Rio Breogan, where he won the ACB League MVP award the previous season, it was a significant step.

He admitted, via esRadio, "It was a risky decision but me and my agent Misko Raznatovic took the big step. He previously advised me, 'Go to a small club like Breogan, show who you are, and then the big offer will come'. And that's exactly what happened. Now, I'm more mature. All I have in mind is Real Madrid and to win titles."

Musa also talked about his friendship with the Luka Doncic, whom he met in FIBA EuroBasket 2022 group stage. At that time, Bosnia and Herzegovina surprised everybody by defeating the defending champions.

"Luka is like my brother. We are very good friends and keep in touch. Before the game, we talked a lot about Real Madrid. Not only about the team, but restaurants in the city and other things that I can do there. Though, I don't want to mention them (laughs).

"Our friendship began many years ago. He is one of the best players in the world and I wish him all the best for the future," the 23-year-old Bosnian told the Spanish radio.
