The Guardian, a prestigious English newspaper, released its list of the 100 best players in the world for 2023 this Friday, December 22. 11 Real Madrid players are included in the list, which was selected by 218 former players, journalists, and broadcasters. However, only two of them—Jude Bellingham, who comes in second, and Vinicius Junior, who comes in sixth—are in the top 10.
The next Real Madrid player is Luka Modric, who is ranked number 25. A little further back are Fede Valverde (31st), Rodrygo (33rd), Thibaut Courtois (39th) and Eduardo Camavinga (43rd). The remaining Real Madrid players are among the last thirty positions in the ranking: Toni Kroos (70th), David Alaba (81st), Aurélien Tchouaméni (86th) and Antonio Rüdiger (91st).
Erling Haaland tops The Guardian's list, while Jude Bellingham comes in second, as we mentioned earlier. Behind the Englishman are Kylian Mbappé (3rd), Harry Kane (4th), Rodri (5th), Vinicius Junior (6th), Salah (7th), De Bruyne (8th), Osimhen (9th), Leo Messi (10th) , Bernardo Silva (11th), Kvaratskhelia (12th), Lautaro Martínez (13th), Saka (14th), Griezmann (15th), Gündogan (16th), Lewandowski (17th), Odegaard (18th), Julián Álvarez (19th) and Musiala (20th).
