During pre-season, Endrick experienced Rüdiger's defensive intensity firsthand, feeling pain after a heavy blow to one of his ribs. It marked the day the young Brazilian met the German defender, who has shut down some of the world's top forwards like Haaland, Mbappé, and Kane. That encounter became a vital learning experience for the number 16.

Since then, Rüdiger has taken on a mentor role for Endrick, guiding him daily with tough love and valuable lessons. After scoring his first double for Real Madrid, Endrick didn’t hesitate to dedicate his goals to Rüdiger. "I keep working every day, and these two goals are for Antonio Rüdiger. He knows what he does with me every day," Endrick told Real Madrid TV. "He never praises me, and that helps me. He tells me what I need to do—run, fight, score. Yesterday in training, he gave me a tough challenge, and when I got home, I thought about what a great person he is. These two goals are for him," the Brazilian concluded.
