In a recent interview, Real Madrid's young talent Endrick Felipe revealed that one of his childhood idols was none other than Bobby Charlton, a choice that surprised many given the generational gap. His Real Madrid teammates have taken the revelation in stride, playfully teasing him by calling him "Bobby" around the dressing room.
The lighthearted nickname has now spread beyond his club. During the lead-up to Brazil's game against Ecuador on Saturday, Brazilian fans were heard chanting "Bobby" in the stands, embracing the new moniker for their rising star.
