Enrique Riquelme has spoken about several aspects of his presidential project for Real Madrid during an interview with ESPN journalist Rodra, including the possibility of signing Rodri Hernández and the coach he already has lined up for the club.

The candidate openly praised the Manchester City midfielder and admitted he would like to see him at the Santiago Bernabéu.

“Rodri is the type of player who should be playing for Real Madrid. Obviously, at the moment, he's at another club and we have to respect that. But we'll talk about it starting Saturday.”

Riquelme continued: “I love Rodri. He's a fantastic player and he's the kind of player Real Madrid should have, and who should be playing for the club.”

The businessman also revealed that he already has an agreement with a coach for his project, while making it clear he does not intend to take risks with the appointment.

“I have a manager signed for Real Madrid. Country of origin? Let's not talk about nationality, let's talk about experience. We're not going to experiment. We'll bring in a proven manager and coaching staff who have never managed Real Madrid before, and I'm sure Real Madrid will be very excited to have them here.”

Riquelme also announced that more details regarding his sporting project will be revealed in the coming days.

“Starting this Saturday, we will begin to reveal our football project. We will reveal names. Some of the players I have agreements with are game-changers, without a doubt. People should pay attention because they are going to please and excite the fans.”

The Real Madrid presidential candidate continues to build anticipation around his project as the electoral campaign progresses.
