Rumors surrounding potential signings for next summer are already gaining momentum, and Real Madrid’s midfield appears to be one of the main areas of focus. Alongside the previously mentioned Rodri Hernández, whose name recently resurfaced after comments he made to Onda Cero while with the Spanish national team, Enzo Fernández has now also been linked with a possible move.
The Argentine midfielder is currently performing at a high level in the Premier League and has previously been connected with a potential transfer to the Santiago Bernabéu. This time, however, it was the player himself who indirectly fueled speculation about that possibility.
During a live stream on the Kick platform, while speaking with Marcos Giles, the Chelsea player chatted with friends connected to River Plate, the club where he developed and to which he hopes to return one day. “I want to come back at my best, to come back in my best form,” he said.
Fernández also admitted that living in Spain appeals to him. “I'd like to experience, I don't know, living there. I really like Madrid, it reminds me a lot of Buenos Aires,” he explained.
In a joking exchange, his friends began suggesting other clubs in the Spanish capital while avoiding mention of Real Madrid. “You could go to Getafe, or Rayo Vallecano… there’s also Atlético de Madrid,” they said while laughing.
The relaxed conversation seemed to hint, without explicitly saying it, that Fernández’s true ambition could be to one day wear the shirt of the kings of Europe.
