The news this past week about the infamous clause that would allow Erling Haaland to leave Manchester City exclusively for Real Madrid has raised concerns about his future. Information that some experts and the player's friends and family have denied, including his coach Pep Guardiola.
In reality, it appears that the clause would be fully true and that the player could leave Manchester City after his second or third season for a sum between 150 and 200 million euros.
One thing, though, has been denied in relation to the player clause. According to the journalist Fabrizio Romano, Haaland would have included a clause in his contract allowing him to leave the English club after paying a very big amount. Despite what has been said recently, it would not be an exclusivity clause and would not only apply to Real Madrid.
In this manner, according to Romano, any club could sign Haaland. but the journalist also confirms that the player is very happy right now in Manchester and there are no reasons for him to leave.
